Valerie Mohrman is a trained EMDR Specialist and has experience with adults, youth and children who struggle with depression, anxiety, Irrational Thoughts, and self-esteem issues. She enjoys working with those who are struggling in inter-personal relationships, including developing healthy boundaries. Working collaboratively with her clients, having genuine respect, and non-judgmental acceptance toward the painful experiences they have endured.
Valerie utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered and Solution Focused Therapy. She provides couples counseling utilizing Emotionally Focused Therapy, along with Gottman Methods. She also offers Christian Counseling if requested. Valerie also enjoys working with individuals who struggle with adoption issues.
Valerie graduated with a Psychology Degree from Liberty University and then a master’s degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has experience in various settings including counseling agencies, Public School System, and medical settings including cancer treatment and kidney disease.
